Garden Hill Consulting is the capstone endeavor developed by Rhonda Magee.
We bring equal parts passion, practicality and specificity to help clients find the missing link to both Impact and their own personal levels of fulfillment. We know how the social sectors face different challenges every day, and how to support your work in the midst of those.
Rhonda and her team are your reliable guides in all Third Sector life cycles, complexities and stages of change. We strive to deliver Nonprofit expertise in the caliber of the Bar Pilots who carefully guide ships across the treacherous sand bars that lie beneath the mouth of the Columbia River as it meets the Pacific, an area aptly named the Graveyard of the Columbia.
The Third Sector is an extremely complex organizational model, similar in many ways to the Columbia-Pacific channel with its hazardous reputation. Even the Graveyard analogy fits–sadly–as we see that 50% of all Nonprofits will dissolve within the first year, and 30% will fail within the first 10 years.
Ships navigating the Columbia River have all the latest navigational technology on board, yet these modern vessels are allowed passage only when they have a highly experienced Bar Pilot on board. This special waterway master has years of experience working with those shifting sands and all nautical circumstances and weather conditions. The Bar Pilot stands beside the ship’s Captain to lend expert support.
The constantly changing internal and external nonprofit environments—the shifting sands if you will—in which our clients operate, along with unique structure realities, present predictable and unique challenges. Let us be your Nonprofit Pilot, let us support you and help you to successfully navigate. Your organization and your team members can manifest Thrivery.
